2025 Edition

In 2025, the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) coordinated the second annual Heat Pump Day, once again marking 21 October as the official day to celebrate heat pump technology across Europe. Building on the success of the inaugural 2024 edition, this year saw an even bigger programme of activities and stronger engagement from partners and the public alike.

Heat Pump Day 2025 brought together national associations, industry partners, local communities, policymakers, and enthusiasts to raise awareness of the critical role heat pumps play in the decarbonisation of heating and cooling and the transition to clean energy in Europe.

This year, Heat Pump Day focused on sharing the voices of different actors in the sector from the four corners of Europe.

Highlights from Heat Pump Day 2025 🌍 More activities across Europe Over 70 initiatives including webinars, workshops, factory open days, policy dialogues, and public-facing events, were organised by EHPA members and partners throughout the continent.

🎨 Creative and engaging campaigns

A special creative strand this year was the launch of the “Heating Transition Colouring Book” an accessible, fun way to communicate how heating and cooling systems work and why heat pump adoption matters for the energy transition. The book was launched in Brussels the day after Heat Pump Day and designed to resonate with policymakers and the broader public.

🎥 Heat Pump Voices

The Heat Pump Voices campaign invited homeowners, installers, engineers, and other enthusiasts across Europe to share their personal stories via short videos using the hashtag #HeatPumpDay on social media. This initiative helped humanise heat pump technology, bringing authentic voices and diverse experiences to the broader discussion. Selected standout submissions were awarded and featured on EHPA and partner channels.

📍 Interactive event map

An interactive map helped visitors discover all Heat Pump Day events across Europe. From open-house tours at facilities, to expert presentations and live demonstrations.
